CypherCrescent Limited continues to demonstrate its dedication to knowledge sharing and professional development as two of its graduate trainees, Obaze Daniella and Ogundele Olayemi Samuel, delivered a technical presentation at the SPE Abuja Section Student Affairs Skills Development Series held from September 11th to 12th, 2025.
The session, themed “Fundamentals of PVT Analysis: Key Concepts and Applications in Reservoir Engineering,” provided an in-depth exploration of the essential principles guiding Pressure-Volume-Temperature (PVT) analysis and its relevance in optimising hydrocarbon recovery.
The discussion centered around how accurate PVT data supports better reservoir characterisation, fluid property estimation, and production forecasting, core aspects of petroleum engineering practice. Through practical illustrations and data-driven insights, they highlighted how modern reservoir simulation tools can enhance efficiency, minimise uncertainties, and improve decision-making in field operations.
The Student Affairs Skills Development Series, organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Abuja Section, is a platform designed to bridge the knowledge gap between academia and industry. It brings together professionals, students, and young engineers to share real-world insights, discuss industry challenges, and promote mentorship within the energy ecosystem.
CypherCrescent’s participation aligns perfectly with its mission to empower emerging professionals and advance capacity development in Nigeria’s energy sector. We remain committed to fostering innovation and knowledge transfer, ensuring that the next generation of engineers is well-equipped for the evolving landscape of energy technology and digital transformation.
